![]() The MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) is offered by the AAMC and is a required exam for admission to medical schools in the USA and Canada. This helped me realize I’d overlook “NOT” in the question stems or would skip over the graphs instead of a brief “what’s the gist” of them and things like that.Welcome to the BEST place for MCAT prep and practice materials. I’d then try to figure out why I got it right the second time and not the first if I never saw the answer between attempts. I’d take a tad more time to read the passage and answer the question before going back to the exam review and a ton of times I got the right answer on the second attempt before ever seeing the real answer on the review. Doing this and trying really hard to realize how my thinking differed between testing an review helped a lot.Īnother big thing is I would have the exam review open in one window always one question behind a second attempt of the same test. It was my last 6-7 tests that I forced myself to reread the passage before reviewing my answers. My first few practice tests I would review the answers but would rarely make sure to reference the passage for when it was brought up, the context the stuff was mentioned, and data interpretation. I am SO grateful and proud of myself for locking it back in and thinking positive after each section. But don’t stop that engine no matter how you feel. One section left, give it your all and crash when you’re down if you must. Still felt terrible? What’s getting down gonna do to help? Go kill BB. You got that far, who cares if you thought CP destroyed you, go kill CARS. And then just trust yourself and only think positive on test day. When you take a FL and missed a question, find or create tons of practice problems about that exact topic and master it so if you ever see it again, it’s the easiest. Took the test, walked out thinking my life was over, got smacked in the face with a 518 absolutely surprising the nards out of me.įind a way to master content deeply and be honest with yourself about what you know or don’t. I took 15 practice tests and was never stoked about my score once but I knew the amount of prep and work I did should be yielding more. Walking between classes, in the bathroom □□♂️, laying in bed before sleeping. I did an insane number of flashcards as often as possible. ![]() Content should be the least of your concerns for as long as possible before test day. /r/GAMSAT - Australian & UK Medical school Admission TestĪbsolutely, I do!
